How VetGen ensures every batch of equine supplements is doping-free, tested in FEI-accredited labs, and safe for competition horses.
For any rider competing under FEI rules, a single contaminated supplement can end a season. The risk is not theoretical — most positive equine doping cases trace back to feed or supplement contamination, not deliberate medication.
Why FEI-accredited testing matters
The FEI maintains a list of prohibited substances that is updated yearly. An "FEI-accredited" laboratory is one whose analytical methods, detection limits and chain-of-custody procedures meet the federation's standards. Testing a finished supplement in such a lab is the only credible way to guarantee that no prohibited substance is present above detection thresholds.
How VetGen tests every batch
Every production batch of Tranquility, LactaBalance and GastroBalance is sampled and screened in an FEI-accredited laboratory before release. We test for the full FEI prohibited list, including naturally occurring contaminants from raw materials.
What this means for you
You get a certificate of analysis on request, traceable to the batch number printed on your tub. If your horse is ever tested at an event, you have documented proof that the supplement was clean.
Beyond compliance
Doping-free is the baseline. The harder work is formulating supplements that actually do something — calm focus, digestive balance, recovery support — using ingredients backed by peer-reviewed equine research. That is where the rest of our work happens.
